Description

Photographs relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Stanislaus Acton Nunan, No.1 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, and Syria, c.1917-1919.

Collection contains 43 photographs and souvenir picture postcards relating to the military service of Lieutenant Stanislaus Action Nunan. Some of the photographs were taken by Lieutenant Nunan himself or collected by him while on active service and recreational leave at Palmyra, Akaba, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Damascus, Cairo, Hama and Alexandria. Collection also includes a photograph of Lieutenant Nunan's brother, Paul Connell Nunan with five members of 6th Field Ambulance.
