Description

Wallet 2 of 2 - Album of photographs relating to the First World War service of 4194 Warrant Officer Paul Connell Nunan MM, 6th Australian Field Ambulance.

The collection contains 180 photographs fixed in place, along with 14 loose photographs. The images are captioned and described, some in great detail, with the images capturing a range of material during the period of the First World War. They include the Roman ruins at Palmyra, ANZAC Cove, including the hospital gullies, Indian soldiers at prayer, street and village scenes in Egypt, modern Sri Lanka, and Greece, Australian soldiers at leisure, including playing football, swimming in rivers, dahabeahs on irrigation canals, and an Egyptian doctor preparing for a blood-letting operation.
