Description
Brown wool shoulder strap, lined with brown cotton bearing oxidised rank insignia for a lieutenant and a curved 'AUSTRALIA' title. The strap was originally secured to the uniform by a button and two press studs.
History / Summary
Worn by VX58783 Captain (Sister) Wilma Oram of 2/13 Australian General Hospital, in Malaya before she was taken prisoner of war by the Japanese and imprisoned on Sumatra in February 1942.
