Description

AWM38 3DRL 6673/990 PART 1 - Album of 68 pages (including inside covers) containing 69 photographs covering research conducted by Charles Bean. On the front of the photograph album is a hand written sticker identifying the album as “With ? MS Powerful to Norfolk Island & New Zealand to meet American Fleet 1908”. On the back of the photograph album, flipped upside down, is a hand written sticker identifying the album as “Some Photos of 1914-18 War”. Photographs in the front mostly consist of various at sea and ship images (including HMS Pegasus), which are not captioned. Eight photographs at the back of the album include portraits of Charles Bean and trenches on the Western Front.
