Letters from Ernest William Baker to his Family, 1914-1918
Letters relating to the First World War service of 1032 Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant Ernest William Baker, Australian Navy and Military Expeditionary Force (AN&MEF) and 20th Battalion. The letters were written by Ernest Baker to his family between 1 November 1914 and 4 February 1918. In these letters Ernest Baker describes the garrison at Rabaul, the boredom of trench warfare whilst at Gallipoli and the difficulties in transporting supplies to the front line in France.
