Lieutenant General Horace Clement Hugh ‘Red Robbie’ Robertson (left), Commander-in-Chief of the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces (BCOF), Japan, is greeted by Lieutenant Colonel [Ian] Bruce Ferguson (on right, carrying stick), Commanding Officer of 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), during Robertson's visit of inspection to 3RAR. A British soldier in the foreground salutes and holds open a jeep door. 3RAR at this stage are stated to be 2000 yards SE of Pakchon. Part of the Korean war component of the Herald and Weekly Times collection. This photograph was probably taken by Lloyd Brown, staff photographer in 1950 with the Herald and Sun newspapers.
