Collection contains typescript copies of entries from the diary of Sub-Lieutenant Douglas Munro during the mission to southern Russia of the HMAS 'Swan', Royal Australian Navy and the French destroyer 'Bisson', Russia, December 1918. History / Summary

The Allied Mission to the Don Republic. The Mission sought to investigate the situation of the Cossacks, who were defending their country in the eastern corner of the Ukraine against the Bolsheviks. HMAS Swan and the French destroyer Bisson conveyed the members of the Mission.
