Studio portrait of SX4452 Corporal (Cpl) Brian Charles Castle, 2/27 Battalion, of Adelaide, SA. Cpl Castle enlisted on 4 June 1940. In September 1942 he became lost in New Guinea during the Kakoda campaign. A letter detailing this episode was sent to his family and is now held in the collection of the Memorial at PR03746.
