Balaclava : Warrant Officer Class 2 L Cunningham, 4RAR (Commando)
Description
Black silk balaclava with a single small eye opening. The balaclava is made in two pieces, joined by a central seam. The eye and head openings are reinforced with a double thickness of silk fabric. A white fabric label stitched to the lower rear seam reads 'CONTENT: 100% SILK MADE IN CHINA HAND WASH IN LUKEWARM WATER NO WRINGING HANG TO DRY'.
History / Summary
Used by 239707 WO II Laurie Cunningham, of 4 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (Commando), in Kuwait and Iraq, February - May 2003. Cunningham, who had previously seen service with 6 RAR in East Timor, enlisted in the Australian Army in July 1990.
