Organising a ceremony for your school
Many schools around Australia organise Anzac Day and Remembrance Day ceremonies for their students.
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs has produced a resource called We remember ANZAC. Free to download, it contains guidelines for running a commemorative event, and information about the Order of Service, the Ode, the Last Post, Rouse, and Reveille, as well as suggested poetry and readings.
Your school might like to research the story of a serviceman or servicewoman to share during your ceremony. Here are some examples:
