Description
Members of a South Vietnamese Regional Forces (RF) unit gathered on and around an army truck, on which they have loaded for their own use, bags of rice captured from a Viet Cong (VC) logistic depot during Operation Stirrup Cup. The operation was carried out by 3 Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC), and Victor Company, a New Zealand component of 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR). The RF troops are wearing coloured scarves as a distinguishing feature of their unit. Each RF unit wore a different coloured scarf each week to prevent VC soldiers impersonating them.
