A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to New Guinea, Milne Bay, Buna, Buna Area, Gona and Guadalcanal. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The leaflet details the losses suffered by the Japanese forces in New Guinea, including the failed landing at Milne Bay, the annihilation of the South Seas Detachment in the Buna-Gona area, the defeat in Guadalcanal and the retreat from Lae, Salamaua and Finschhafen. It also mentions the successful landing on Bougainville by the Allied Forces and the repeated bombing of Japanese positions in Rabaul. The message attributes the mounting losses to the Japanese military clique who failed to gauge the fighting power and ability of the Allied nations and destroyed both the Japanese economy and the prosperity of the Japanese-occupied countries.
