War savings stamps booklet
Description
War savings stamp booklet, owned by Jan Gordon from "N. W. Mooroopra Via Tatura". The front cover features the Australian coat of arms and flag with the words "For Australia" on a scroll, below which is the name and address of the owner written in black/red ink. Inside the booklet are three six shilling war stamps and the words "Stamp out the Fear of Tyranny Forever": a letter in each of the stamp squares. On the back cover are instrauctions for use and the words "Sixpence a day keeps the invaders away".
