Warrant Officer David Louis Gill
Description
Warrant Officer David Louis Gill enlisted to the Royal Australian Air Force on 24 April 1942, and underwent training in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria. He then served as a wireless operator with 14 Squadron, based at Pearce, Western Australia. With this squadron, Warrant Officer Gill participated in anti-shipping patrols. In late 1944, Warrant Officer Gill was transferred to 7 Squadron, based at Tadji, New Guinea. He served as a wireless operator and air gunner in numerous strike missions against Japanese positions. Warrant Officer Gill was discharged on 19 September 1945.
