Private Frederick Clarence Fuljames
Description
Private Frederick Clarence Fuljames (5272, 9th Battalion) was born in Sunbeam, Queensland, on 6 September 1898. He enlisted in October 1915 at the age of 17 years 1 month. Frederick was wounded on 25 February 1917 during intense shelling of the trenches near Gueudecourt. He died of his wounds two days later at 1st/1st South Midlands Casualty Clearing Station, aged 18 years. Frederick’s older brother Private Reginald Emile Fuljames served in the 31st Battalion and was wounded in action in November 1916.
