Sapper Charles Stanley Smith
Description
Charles Stanley Smith was born on 10 December 1923 in Tamworth, New South Wales to parents William and Matilda Smith. He enlisted for service with the Australian Army on 16 October 1941 in Tamworth. Sapper Smith was posted to the 5 Mechanical Equipment Company when on 29 August 1945 he died from injuries at Morotai Island, Netherlands East Indies. He is commemorated on the Ambon Memorial, Indonesia.
