Private John Stewart Wheeler
Description
Private John Stewart Wheeler (2029, 45th Battalion) was born at Blayney, NSW in 1899. He was working as a railway porter when he enlisted in March 1916. John became ill while still in camp and died in the Garrison hospital on 19 May 1916, aged about 17 years. He is buried in the Waverley General Cemetery, Sydney, NSW.
