The Gallipoli Star: An Australian ANZAC Commemorative Medal
Abstract
The subject of this article is not an official campaign medal. During the past ten years private commemorative medals have found popularity among veterans who did not recieve an official medal or clasp for participation in an individual campaign. The Gallipoli star is one such medal. The Gallipoli Star is a bronze star, 38mm in diameter, with eight beveled rays representing New Zealand and the Australian States and Territories.
