The formation of Naval Forces in the Commonwealth of Australia / John Haken.
Abstract
In this article the author gives a brief history of the Commonwealth of Australia naval forces from the early days when both Victoria and New South Wales had their own volunteer naval forces. The author concluded by stating that in 1911 the Royal Australian Navy was formed by King George V granting the title Royal.
