Description
The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Comus (D20) in dry dock for repairs at Kure. The dock is filled with water and heavy wooden beams are supporting the ship. Two heavy lift cranes, mounted on rails and dating from the Second World War, can traverse the length of the dock on either side. The one on the right is lowering a gangplank.
