Studio portrait of 5337 Private (Pte) Leonard Stanley Blackwood, 8th Battalion, of Coburg Vic. A clicker prior to enlistment Pte Blackwood embarked with the 17th Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Euripides on 4th April 1916. He died of wounds received in action in Belgium aged 21 and is buried in Lijssenthoek military Cemetery.
