Description

Australian Reinforcement Unit (ARU) & 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (2 RAR) in South Vietnam 1967-68. Scenes include: Australian Reinforcement Unit's lines, Luscombe Airfield, Christmas show featuring Lucky Star, Lorae Desmond and Little Pattie. ARU troops escort food to Ap Sui Nghe village. Skull of Viet Cong killed at Long Tan used as a tent decoration. 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Lines. Patrol by 2 Platoon 'A' Company 2 RAR. Convoy from Nui Dat to Vung Tau for return to Australia aboard HMAS Sydney and the voyage home. Singapore Harbour June 1968. Identified personnel are: Private (Pte) J. L. Shepherd, Pte J.R. Taylor, Pte Ian Cook, Pte J.R. Jakeman, Pte Chris McIree, Cpl B.L. Berg, Pte Graham L. Smith, Pte Chris Mortimer, Pte Ray "Blue" McGuire, Corporal A.M. Credlin.
