20mm cannon
Description
An RAAF training film on the 20mm Hispano Cannon of the type mounted on the Supermarine Spitfire. The film covers the examination of the external parts, the barrel assembly, stripping the cannon, removal of the breach block, removal of the pistol assembly, stripping the front mounting unit, removal of the sear assembly, the mechanism of the cannon, unlocking the breach block, action of the firing pin, extraction and ejection. Of interest in this film are the cartoon titles which precede each section.
