Description
Studio portrait of 4870 Private (Pte) Thomas Patrick Monks, 15th Reinforcements, 5th Battalion, of Ballan, Vic. Pte Monks enlisted on 29 November 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Wiltshire in Melbourne on 7 March 1916. He was killed in action on the Somme, France, on 23 November 1916, while serving with the 58th Battalion. See also DA13924.
