Description
Studio portrait of 3005 Private (Pte) Charles William Barclay, 10th Reinforcements, 5th Battalion, of "The Patch" via Belgrave, Vic. Pte Barclay enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Osterley on 29 September 1915. He died on 3 August 1916 at Boulogne, France, of wounds he received at Fleurbaix, France, whilst serving with the 59th Battalion.
