Chalker, Jack Bridger
A collection of papers and sketches c 1942-1945 some of which are the work of Jack Bridger Chalker comprising: a typed copy of the Prisoner of War ( POW) working party list for Havelock Road Labour Camp, Singapore, 1942; pencil and green wash on paper drawing of 'Plan of Kanyu River Camp' with text 1943; pencil on paper drawing 'Plan of Hintock No.5 Railway camp' with text, 1945; photogravure reproduction of original drawing by Jack Chalker, 'Cooking fires from sick huts at sundown', Chungkai Hospital, 1943; scripts, character and cast list for plays by P G Wodehouse and Willem (Wim) C Kan produced at Nakom Paton hospital camp, 1944-1945; medical and physiotherapy notes, illustrations and patients' lists from Nakom Paton, c1943-1945; eight Japanese issue currency notes collected by Jack Chalker 1942-1945; one anniversary, three Christmas and five birthday cards in pen and ink and watercolour by Rob Brazil, 'Akki' and Lt 'Smudger' Smith, 1944; two leaflets of instructions for allied prisoners of war and Japanese guards dropped after the Japanese surrender.
