Studio portrait of 135 Private (Pte) John Eric Best Crossley, A Squadron, 13th Light Horse Regiment, of Harrow, Vic. Pte Crossley enlisted on 16 March 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Persic on 28 May 1915. He later served as a Staff Sergeant and returned to Australia on 3 March 1919.
