Description
This poster was issued by the General Post Office to inform British Citizens hat they can use light weight air-letter forms to communication with Forces based in India, Ceylon and South East Asia. Also with the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy in all parts of the world. The air-letters cost 2d and were available over the counter in all GPO branches.
This is one of a series of GPO wartime posters to feature a decorative border designed by British artist Barnett Freedman. Freedman was appointed a British official war artist in 1940.
