Description
Studio portrait of 4626 Driver (Dvr) James Henry Curran, 7th Reinforcements, 1st Field Artillery Brigade, of Traralgon, Vic. Dvr Curran enlisted on 17 May 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard RMS Persia on 10 August 1915. He returned to Australia on 12 April 1919 with the 3rd Field Artillery Brigade. Note that he is probably wearing a studio uniform as the sleeve shows faded chevrons which indicate removal of sergeant's stripes and this tunic appears in other images worn by different soldiers.
