Diggers' loan Australia wants £10,000,000
An Australian poster issued after the First World War to promote a post-war reconstruction campaign to raise fund for returned soldiers, and also designed to help Australia recover from the crippling costs of the war effort. The poster was authorised by Captain Dash, the Chief organiser of the New South Wales Diggers' Loan campaign. While this poster was published by a New South Wales group, it may have been printed in Melbourne, as J.J. Miller is a Melbourne printer.
The poster is text based with no images to promote the Diggers' Loan. The title is printed in red and blue ink, and occupies the top half of the poster. The remaining text occupies the bottom half and reads: 'To meet her obligations to the soldiers it is you duty to subscribe!''.
