Buy war bonds: feed the guns and beat the Huns
Description
First World War poster issued by the Scottish War Savings Committee to promote the sale of war bonds. The image is of three howitzers pointing to the right against a bright yellow sky. Two artillerymen load the foreground howitzer with a war bond rolled into the shape of a shell. Nine other bonds, shaped similarly, stand beside them. The title is positioned over the image at the top in light brown and in the lower right printed in pale yellow. The message ' Feed the Guns and Beat the Huns' appeared on many posters promoting war savings during this period.
