Description
A group of hand lettered posters stuck onto the gates and fences of a building in Phnom Penh advertising lessons for 'Streamline English' and 'Essential English' provide an indication of the demand for English language training in the wake of the arrival of the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC). Private and professional organisations both provided English training to Khmer employees of the UN, interpreters, non government organisation (NGO) employees and students, as well as government employees and politicians.
