Description

A young Khmer Rouge soldier pauses on his bicycle at a United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) checkpoint near the Australian Federal Police (AFP) headquarters at Thmar Puok in Banteay Meanchey province. He has stopped to investigate the two white women - journalist Marje Prior and photographer Heide Smith - who visited Cambodia in January and August 1993 to document Australian involvement with UNTAC, later publishing a book entitled 'Shooting at the Moon - Cambodian Peacekeepers tell their stories'.
