Studio portrait of 1728B Lance Corporal (L Cpl) Alexander MacGregor, 47th Battalion of Murwillumbah, NSW, aged 26 years. He was killed in action on 29 September 1917 and has no known grave; he is memorialised at the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium. L Cpl MacGregor enlisted on 23 July 1915 and embarked on 3 January 1916 aboard the HMT Kyarra from Brisbane.
