220901 Flying Officer (FO) Donald (Don) T Pollock, of Quakers Hill, NSW, a Caribou pilot, makes friends with a small Vietnamese girl at a Buddhist temple near the air base. A party of RAAF men were invited to visit the temple after some of them had shown an interest in the huge white figure of Buddha which dominates a hill near the town.
