Collection relating to the First World War service of 953 Bombardier Frederick William Rowe, 4th Battery Field Artillery. Collection consists of 35 letters written home to his family describing the sea voyage, the sights of Egypt, training, military life, observations of Australian troops, the landing at Anzac Cove, wounding, admiration of the Turkish troops and the Gallipoli campaign in general.
