Collection relating to the service of 1533 Sergeant Robert Minney Inwood, 10 Battalion AIF, 1916, France. Collection includes photostat copies of two letters sent by Sergeant Robert Inwood to his mother in Australia. Location of original letters unknown.
History / Summary
Biographical note: Clerk; of Railway Town, Broken Hill, NSW; born Renmark, SA; educated at the Government Central School, Broken Hill; had served in the Commonwealth Citizen forces; age at time of death, 20 years 3 months. A brother, Sergeant Reginald Roy Inwood, VC, served in the 10th Battalion, and survived the war.
