Description
Collection consists of the written sworn statements of 1821 Company Sergeant Major Edward John Powell, 26 Battalion, and 1217 Private Clare Henry Horace Hall, 26 Battalion, taken before Lieutenant Colonel J Travers, 26 Battalion, at Scotts Redoubt Camp, 31 March 1917. Statements describe the capture of Friedrich Karl von Preussen, Crown Prince of Prussia, after his aircraft was shot down in France on 21 March 1917. Collection also contains a typed copy of these statements and a typed copy of a letter from Brigadier-General Evan Allen Wisdom, to General White, 31 March 1917.
