Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 2264 Trooper John Cavanagh, 8th Light Horse Regiment, AIF. Consists of a typed account of Trooper Cavanagh's service with the 8th Light Horse Regiment between January 1916 and July 1919. The account runs from his embarkation, his training as part of the 3rd Light Horse Training Regiment, his move to the 8th Light Horse Regiment and the actions he was involved in, hospitalisation, return to the 3rd Light Horse Regiment, and his later return to Australia.
