Steeper, William Hubert (Private, b.1883)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 2809 Private William Hubert Steeper, 3rd Infantry Battalion, D Company. Collection consists of Private Steeper's 'Soldier's Pay Book', three newspaper clippings, and an empty wallet with the insignia of the rising sun and the words 'Australian Commonwealth Military Forces'. The newspaper clippings do not directly relate to Private Steeper, and instead relate to the First World War, Lieutenant-Colonel O.G. Howell-Price, M.C., and Lieutenant R.F. Bulkeley, M.C. (both men were killed in action).
