Description
Forty-four Christmas cards exchanged by prisoners of war in Changi between 1942-1945. The cards are illustrated with hand drawn pencil, watercolour and crayon sketches. Included in the collection is an invitation with an attached concert program, to attend the Dutch celebration for the birthday of Queen Wilhelmina dated August 1944. The cards were collected by Lieutenant-Colonel William Jeater who served with the 2/20 Battalion before being captured as a prisoner of war in 1942.
