Studio portrait of 609 Trooper (Tpr) Joseph James Power, 8th Australian Light Horse Brigade. A groom from Euroa, Vic prior to enlistment, Tpr Power embarked with the 2nd Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Armadale on 12 February 1915. On 18 March 1915 he died in Cairo as a result of a train accident and was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
