A labourer of Bridgewater, SA prior to enlistment, Pte Dudley embarked from Melbourne with G Company on HMAT Ceramic on 22 December 1914. On 1 May 1915 he was killed in action at Gallipoli and is commemorated on the Lone Pine memorial..
