WEWAK AIRSTRIP, NEW GUINEA. 1945-08-06. PERSONNEL OF HEADQUARTERS COMMAND, AUSTRALIAN ARMY SERVICE CORPS, 6 DIVISION, LOADING DOUGLAS C47 DAKOTA TRANSPORT KNOWN AS KAI BOMBER. THEY CARRY MANY TYPES OF CARGO FROM LIGHT TRANSPORT TO 25-POUNDER FIELD GUNS. IN THIS INSTANCE A BULLDOZER TRACK IS ONE ITEM OF A MIXED CARGO. CARGO SUCH AS THIS IS NOT DROPPED FROM AIRCRAFT THOUGH SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENTS HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT WITH 25-POUNDER FIELD GUNS.
