Cape Boram, Wewak area, New Guinea. The rear view of an armoured recovery variant of the medium type 97 Chi Ha tank, which was captured on the beach. Army workshops, the tank regiments and the Intelligence Section of 6 division are interested in this tank, for they have not previously seen this particular type and have no record of its manufacture. The pictures were taken at the request of G Armoured Corps, Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Land Headquarters.
