Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 8 June 1915. Sergeant Harry Freame, 1st Battalion AIF looking through the loophole. Near the Tambour Sap in Wire Gully, we cut two loopholes in the face of the hill, looking at the Turks. A sniper used to crawl down a tunnel from our trenches and fire through these.
