Three members of the 7th Division Provost Company about to set off on escort duty. (Left to right) NX12506 Captain J.S. Grimshaw (later MC) - Officer Commanding, NX26773 Warrant Officer 1st Class F. E. Harris (later BEM) and NX14771 Staff Sergeant (later Lieutenant) E. A Tench (later MM, died of illness in New Guinea 12 January 1943). These three were recommended for awards shown above in New Year Honours List 1942 during their activities with 2nd Brigade Ist British Armoured Division at Lania, Greece in April 1941.
