Sailly-le-Sec, France. 24 April 1918. A scene in the valley which led from Sailly-le-Sec to the high ground byond Vaux Wood (seen in the left of the picture), when the dugouts along the right bank, and in a re-entrant branching to the right (not shown) were occupied by troops of the 3rd Division. The enemy was situated on the other side of the ridge.
