A member of the 5th Light Horse Regiment sniping a Turkish periscope by shooting over the parapet ...
Description
A member of the 5th Light Horse Regiment sniping a Turkish periscope by shooting over the parapet rather than through the loophole. He is possibly 712 Trooper Geoffrey Dunsandle Daly. Note the shorts and the short sleeved undershirt, typical of the lightweight uniform favoured by the Australians on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
