Members of the 2/14th Field Regiment, 8th Division, (their colour patch is broken in half to denote the Broken 8th) are the winning team of combined beach sports at The Most Forward Beach Carnival held at Kelanoa, Huon Peninsula, New Guinea on 20 February 1944 and organised by Captain A. E. Richards and Sergeant P. J. Horan (possibly QX28779 Patrick John Horan) of the Australian Army Amenities Service, 5th Division.
